It gives me enormous pleasure to know that Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh (AHCAB) is holding the 4th International Exhibition 8. Seminar on Dairy. Aqua and Pet72018 (IEDAP-2018) at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC). Dhaka from 8-10 March, 2018.

I believe that the event will be international platform for the Dairy, Aqua and Pet Animal industries in the country to promote the animal protein and companion animal for local market as well as global market. Particularly important to dairy sector which undoubtedly, boasts a position in the latter category but still playing signi?cant role in national economy and in my opinion, dairy could be the next thrust sector for that few overarching strategic objectives would help more to expand the dairy sector. Such as raising awareness among policy makers and consumers about the nutritional benefits of local milk and dairy products; increasing the number of stallholders involved in profitable milk production and dairy value chains through diversi?cation and better integration of their household/farm businesses; encouraging processors to set up smallholder milk procurement systems to substitute imports and

enhance national food security for that government and dairy stakeholders can jointly develop the strategy, which dearly identify the area’s best addressed by the public sector and those best addressed by the private sector. The strategy would then inform policy-makers and industry stakeholders about opportunities for future investments in smallholder-oriented dairy development. As a private sector stakeholder owner Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh AHCAB) can own the responsibility.

We all already know as a part of dairy development process AHCAB is arranging International Exhibition on Dairy. Aqua and Pet Animal successfully for consecutive couple of years which de?nitely already made a remarkable improvement in dairy sector but still lots of opportunity to grow where Government together with AHCAB make this happen.

I wish grand success of this an international Exhibition & Seminar of Dairy, Aqua and Pet - 2018 (IEDAP-2018).
